Management position for our sales and service subsidiary in SMA Ibérica Technología Solar, S.L.U. in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona).
Job objective: In this role, the Service Director is responsible for the smooth running of the whole service organization including field service, service line and service logistics for our sales and service subsidiary in Spain. He or she will lead a team of around 18 people and report to the Managing Director with a dotted line to the Headquarters’ (HQ) service division.
Key responsibilities: - Leads the service team including service line operators as well as field service technicians - Ensures and optimizes all service processes following our global service excellence strategy - Presents our first class service approach in front of the customer to support Business Development - Drives and directs sales initiatives of the complete SMA Service portfolio - Promote service sales as a key element of the SMA value proposition - Design and implement the service business plan for the subsidiary - Monitors and assures key performance indicators of the service team
Qualifications & Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or any educational training in the electro-technical field with proven experience in professional customer after sales service management - At least three years of experience in a similar leadership role - Proficiency using MS Office and SAP, and a basic understanding of IP network technology would be advantageous - Class B driver’s license - Willingness to travel across the country and attend training in Germany as required - Very good English and Spanish language skills; German and Portuguese language skills would be an asset. - Excellent communication skills and be able to interact with customers in a positive and professional manner combined with good independent work skills - Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Training: - At least 4 weeks in our headquarters in Niestetal, Germany
Reporting line: - Reports to the Managing Director of SMA Iberica
